Admission to B Tech program through lateral entry for Diploma holder candidates is allowed directly in
Second-year (third semester) at HBTU. These admissions shall be based on the merit of the candidates in the
National Level Entrance Examination conducted by the University.
Eligibility criteria : Candidates of UP domicile, who have passed 3 or 4 year Diploma with a minimum 60% mark without grace from institutions recognized by the U.P. Exact seats information would be available to you through the university office only. But generally universities run different sections on various parameters like some sections are for JEE, some are hons. Section, some are simple CSE/ ECE/ EEE/ etc. Sections which makes a total of 180 seats in each branch with 60 students meant for JEE, Hons and simple.

Yes, definitely you will get. CSE is best as it is having broad scope in future, you can work on any technology like AI, ML, Data Science or something else you want.

All are good, in mechanical and civil job is less but CSE is having more opportunities and a good scope for placements. If you're quick learner, then you can easily get a high package job. Rest EEE and ECE is also good if you get placed in the core branch.

Yes, surely you can apply for the mechanical engineering but there are certain things that you should be aware of as they might help/come in the way of your career at the later stage. You will get direct admission in the 2nd year since you have completed your Diploma.

Hi Maya, if you get chance to study abroad then never lost this chance. The four branches are different and your question has a very individual perspective. Everybody will have different opinions. As for me, I enjoyed electrical and electronics. Similarly, you will have different interests, so there cannot be any generalized answer to your question. There is no the toughest field in engineering if you have more knowledge or study hard hope you understand and good luck.
