Yes, it is possible to pursue a career as a cardiac surgeon after completing a B.Sc. Cardiology, M.Sc. Cardiology, and MD (Doctor of Medicine) degree.

To become a cardiac surgeon, the usual educational pathway involves completing a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as pre-medical or biological sciences), followed by medical school to earn an MD degree. After completing medical school, aspiring cardiac surgeons typically undergo a residency programme in general surgery, which typically lasts for around five years. This residency provides a comprehensive foundation in surgical techniques and patient care. Following the completion of a general surgery residency, further specialisation in cardiac surgery is pursued through a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship. During this fellowship, you will receive specialised training in surgical techniques specific to the heart and the surrounding structures. 

King George's Medical University's (KGMU) admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses is based on several factors like merit, entrance exam scores, and others. Candidates can check the previous year's cut-off to predict what the current year's cut-off. Every year the cut-off changes. King George's Medical University has not released the 2023 placement report yet. According to the NIRF report for 2023, 296 undergraduate and 379 postgraduate students were placed during the KGMU placements drive for 2022.
