The KGMU BSc Nursing entrance exam is conducted as part of the UP CNET (Uttar Pradesh Common Nursing Entrance Test). The UP CNET exam was held on May 21, 2025. While the KGMU itself doesn't conduct a separate exam, candidates who want to enroll in the BSc Nursing course at KGMU need to appear for the UP CNET. Regarding eligibility, males are not explicitly excluded from the BSc Nursing course at KGMU, and the UP CNET exam doesn't have any gender restrictions.

Several medical colleges in Tamil Nadu near Chennai offer MBBS courses with annual fees under 1 lakh, including government colleges and some private colleges. Madras Medical College, Stanley Medical College, and Government Kilpauk Medical College are examples of government colleges with low fees. ESIC Medical College and PGIMSR is another option, though its fees is in the range of INR 3-5 Lakhs.
