Yes, this is a strict requirement, not just a suggestion as Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) under its rule, B.Pharm students in Mumbai have to complete practical training of 150 hours in hospital, community pharmacy and industry. For B.Pharm, General pharmacy remains the most in-demand specialisation, but for M.Pharm, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, and Pharmaceutical Chemistry tend to open doors to better-paying research and industry roles. Students aiming for higher salaries often pair their specialisation with additional certifications or GPAT-based M.Pharm admission.

The quota framework for the MS course at PGIMER Chandigarh follows central Indian policies instead of state rules. It sets aside specific seats for SC, ST, and OBC doctors on a national scale. There is also a unique five percent reservation for rural medical officers.

Applying for MD at PGIMER Chandigarh demands extra professional experience along with MBBS degree. You need at least three years of work experience in a proper hospital setup. No, physiotherapy is a clinical health care profession and cannot be studied through distance education or online education at the UG or PG level. BPT and MPT courses at UG and PG level require clinical hours of lab work, patient encounters, and supervised hospital postings which can't be undertaken remotely via online education. RGUHS and NMC mandates regular attendance and clinical hours for all courses at UG and PG level.

Yes, most medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh, both government and private, provide hostel accommodation for students. Government college hostels are very affordable and are often located within the campus or nearby. Private college hostels vary in quality and amenities but are generally comfortable. For female students, separate hostel facilities with security and warden supervision are mandatory as per NMC norms. Hostel fees are charged separately from tuition fees.

Unfortunately, yes, and this is one of the most serious problems in private medical education in India that students and parents must be aware of. While the official fee structure of private medical colleges is regulated and approved by state Fee Fixation Committees, there have been numerous reported cases of colleges demanding capitation fees or donations over and above the approved fees, especially for management and NRI quota seats.
Always insist on official receipts for every payment made to a medical college and never pay cash or make payments to unofficial accounts or agents.
