B.Sc in medical imaging technology is a 3-year course, divided into six semesters, each lasting a period of six months. The discipline involves the techniques and processes employed in creating images of human body parts for clinical purposes or in medical science.
The basic eligibility criterion for this course is a Higher Secondary/ 10+2 qualification from a recognized educational Board. The average fee charged in India for pursuing this course ranges between INR 2 to 5 Lacs, depending upon the institute offering the course.
Fresher graduates of the course earn anywhere between INR 3 to 10 Lacs annually, depending upon expertise in the field. They are hired in capacities such as Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Radiology Technologist, Radiographers, X-Ray Technicians or Ultrasound Technicians, among others.
