To obtain admission into a government college for a BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) program, you have to take the NEET UG exam since it is the compulsory entrance test for AYUSH courses in India. Following qualification, applicants have to attend state or All India counseling by the AYUSH Admission Central Counseling Committee (AACCC) or concerned state authorities. Admission is done through NEET rank, category reservation, and seat availability. Government BAMS colleges have higher cutoffs, and hence a good score is important. For counseling information, see aaccc.gov.in or state-specific counseling websites.

With 113 marks in NEET, it is less likely to get an MBBS seat in government or private colleges during general counseling, as the minimum qualifying cutoff will be higher. But you can try for private medical colleges under management or NRI quota, where fees are much more expensive.

With 480 marks and AIR of 2,45,504 in NEET, chances of securing an MBBS seat are based on your category, state quota, and desired place. Government colleges can be difficult in general categories but feasible in SC/ST/OBC quotas, particularly where cutoffs are low in particular states. Private colleges in the states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh can potentially provide seats by way of state counseling or through management quota. Deemed universities and NRI quota seats are also available. You must attend state and All India counseling (MCC) and have backup options such as BDS, BAMS, or BHMS for improved prospects.
