First, you need to understand what a Medical course is. To become a medical professional, like a doctor, surgeon, or any other healthcare practitioner, you need a Medical course. But a Dietician course is a blend of Biology and Public Health, so it's not a Medical course.

While Nutrition and Dietetics share common goals with Medicine in promoting health and preventing diseases, it is not considered a medical course.

In India, the highest academic degree in the field of medicine is the Doctor of Medicine (DM) and the Doctorate of Medicine (MCh). These degrees are specialised postgraduate qualifications that doctors can pursue after completing their MD (Doctor of Medicine) or MS (Master of Surgery) degrees. 

DM and MCh degrees are typically awarded in various medical specialities and super-specialities such as Cardiology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Neurosurgery, etc. These degrees represent the highest level of expertise and specialisation in their respective medical fields.

In India, the most common and recognised degree for pursuing a career in surgery is the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). This degree is equivalent to the MD (Doctor of Medicine) degree offered in some other countries.
