Q. What is the NIRF ranking of SGPGI?

A. SGPGI ranks amongst the top medical colleges in India. It is in the 5th position as per NIRF 2020.

Q. Where is SGPGI located?

A. The campus is spread across over 550 acres and is located in Southeast of Lucknow city on Lucknow-Raebareli Road. It is situated nearly 12 Kms from the Charbagh railway station and 15 Kms from Hazratganj.

Q. Does SGPG Institute of Medical Sciences offer any scholarships to its students?

A. Yes, 100% scholarship is offered to the students with annual family income less than Rs 60000. The institute does not offer any merit-based scholarship.

A. An entrance test is conducted by the institute followed by further rounds of counselling. Candidate passed in 10+2 with minimum 50% marks in PCBE and 50% marks in the entrance test are considered eligible.

A. The test is conducted in two parts Part A (60 marks) and Part B (40 marks):

  • Part B is an objective test of 40 marks on the topics of patients/disease in the ward/laboratories.
