Requirements for Admission. Candidates must have completed BDS issued by a university or institute in India and be registered with the National Dental Council to obtain provisional or permanent registration and undergo one year compulsory rotation ho in an approved/accredited dental college.

Yes, you need to qualify the entrance tests. Also, the interested candidate should have scored at least 50% marks in the 10+2 examination. I think it's a bit difficult to get into a good government college on this rank Although, there are several factors that play when counseling starts such as the category you belong to, the number of students applying for that particular college, etc.

You need to pass certain qualifications to get admitted for undergraduate medical courses in the state of Uttarakhand. Candidates are required to have qualified 10th and 12th grades with their compulsory subjects as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, also scoring marks of at least 50% in a qualifying exam for students falling under general categories, while SC/ST requires 40%. The expected cutoffs for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) in 2024 are:

Vardhaman Mahavira Medical College: 107–129.

North Delhi Municipal Medical College and Hindu Rao Hospital: 909–1054 for all India students of general category. 

These calculations are based on MBBS graduation rates provided through NEET UG Round 1 Seat Allotment results.

I'll suggest to complete your degree beforehand Along with that you can prepare for UPSC too.

If you complete your degree 

  1. UPSC criteria met
  2. You're prepared for 1 subject of UPSC exams 
  3. You have option B 
  4. No financial crises in future, if anything not went as planned (you can easily earn 1lac/ month as a doctor)
