For admission to three-year PG course of MD at KGMU, candidates are required to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. Candidates who passed MBBS with 50% aggregate are eligible to apply for this course. KGMU MD admissions are done based on the NEET PG entrance exam scores, which is conducted by National Board of Examinations (NBE). Further, the final seat allotment to selected candidates is done through a state level counselling process, i.e., UP NEET PG, which is held by Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET). Yenepoya (Deemed to be university) will release 4-5 rounds of NEET cutoffs for admission to medical courses. The cutoffs will be released on a rolling basis, and the seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The cutoffs will be based on the following factors: 

  • The NEET score of the candidate 
  • The category of the candidate
  • The number of seats available in the course

Candidates must visit the official website of entrance exam to read clear instructions on how to proceed with the counselling process, once the round is released.
