B.Tech consumes a lot of money whereas B.Sc takes nominal charges which you can afford. B.Tech degree has no value if it is done from a private college.

B.Tech metallurgical and material engineering is one of the most important engineering in high technology research in the field of space, nuclear, aviation, etc. It has maximum research opportunities and job opportunities in developed countries. I personally recommend it over B.Sc chemistry.
