The breakage of the criteria is given on the website. www.mica.ac.in
Also not much importance is given to your past scores. It is your performance in MICAT,your GE/PI process that matters the most.
Hope this helps

Micat has two parts in the exam.
The first part consists of a 35 minutes in which you write a story based on the pictures you are given. And then a topic on which you are asked to write on it.
After that the next part is quant, verbal,gk.As such no particular number is defined to attempt the number of questions.
Depending upon the number of questions you should attempt a good number. Also since Micat carries 50percent weightage, you should try answering a good number of questions keeping in mind the marking scheme and the negative marks. You can visit the website www.mica.ac.in to see the breakup criteria of weightage of each

As far as I know SIBM Pune does not offer a course in Communications. If you are referring to SIMC then MICA is a better choice any day. Visit the websites of both the colleges and you will get a clarity. http://www.mica.ac.in/
Hope this helps.

How low are your academic grades. For MICAT you need to appear for CAT but your CAT score does not matter much as you need to clear MICAT to get an interview call.MICA looks at various parameters,so you should go ahead and apply.
Hope this helps you.

For MICA you need to appear for MICAT.But before MICAT it is mandatory for you to have appeared in CAT,or XAT or GMAT. CMAT had been removed from this list as the admission process has changed. Also the percentile of these exams is not a criteria for MICA conversion. You need to clear MICAT to get an interview call. After which a GE/PI process happens and then you secure admission.
hope this helps you.

MICA has changed its pattern this year.So it does not consider CMAT. It considers CAT,XAT and GMAT scores only. You get an interview call depending on how you perform in MICAT. But you should have appeared for at least one of the three exams.Though your percentile in these exams is not a criteria for your admission.
I hope this gives you a clarity.
