Nalanda Open University - NOU

Nalanda Open University offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes in distance learning mode. Moreover, BA, B.Sc and B.Com are popular three-year UG courses. MA M.Sc and M.Com are offered for two-year each at PG level. Other courses include BBA, BCA, BJMC, MCA, MA MJMC etc. The university also provides Ph.D courses for students interested in pursuing a research programme. Short-term Certificate courses in subject areas of National Importance, such as Disaster Management, Yogic Studies, etc.

Nalanda Open University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), the Ministry of HRD, the Government of India and the Distance Education Bureau (DEB). NOU is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), the International Council of Open and Distance Education (ICDE) and the Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU). Additionally, Nalanda Open University was established in 1987 under the ACT of Bihar Government, Nalanda Open University (NOU).

For Nalanda Open University admissions, candidates need to submit some documents during the application process.
