A candidate may only apply for one course through one application form during NPGC Lucknow course admissions. On the online admissions portal of NPGC candidates are only offered one choice when choosing which course to apply. Moreover, entrance exams at NPGC often occur on the same day for multiple courses as such, it is not recommended to make multiple applications either.

Yes, scholarships are available for both meritorious and needy students at National Post Graduate College, Lucknow. These scholarships/prizes have been set up by the Government of UP and the College to encourage students and are awarded to meritorious students of BCom, Geography BA, and other courses, as well as the College Scholarship for economically weaker students.

The applications dates for NPGC Lucknow admission can vary depending on the course. For UG and Professional courses such as BA, BSc, BCom, BBA, BCA, BAJMC, BCom (H), BVoc (All) and MVoc (All) the last date of application was July 9, 2025. Whereas for PG courses the last date of application is August 14, 2025. Despite all three starting applications on the same date of March 3, 2025.

No, NPGC Lucknow currently does not offer any form of direct admission in any of its programmes. Interested candidates must meet the course specific eligibility requirements, and then appear for either the College Admission Test, LUACCET or LUACMAT depending on the course-specific requirement and seat allocation. After which a merit-list will be generated and seats shall be allocated to determine admission.

Candidates who wish to enroll in the BBA programme of NPGC Lucknow must follow the steps below:

Step 1: Login to (admission.npgc.in).

Step 2: Apply for the LUACMAT.

Step 3: Fill-in necessary details.

Step 4: Pay application fees.

Step 5: Appear for the entrance exam.

Candidates will receive admission based on the exam results.

The BCom (H) programme currently offers 120 self-financed seats in the year of 2025. Seats in NPGC Lucknow are divided into regular and self-financed seats. With self-financed seats requiring higher fees to be paid, due to it not being financed by the state. Students who wish to enroll must appear for the LUACMAT conducted by NGPC.

No, a candidate may only join one programme of NPGC Lucknow at a time. This is because according to the UGC, which NPGC Lucknow is recognised, by a student can only pursue one Physical/Full-Time course at a time and NPGC Lucknow only offers courses in Physical/Full-Time modes with no distance/open-learning modes available.

NPGC Lucknow offers a variety of courses with 11 courses at the UG and PG level, 6 Diploma and 6 Certification courses. These courses are divided into the Humanities, Commerce, Science and Computer streams such as BA, BCom, BSc, BBA, BCA, BAJMC, MA in Anthropology/Economics/English/Geography/Political Science/Psychology, MSc Chemistry/Anthropology, MCom, MPH, etc.

NPGC Lucknow is famous for its prestigious status granted by the UGC as both Autonomous and as a College with Potential for Excellence (CPE). This means that NPGC Lucknow has full autonomy and independence when formulating the curriculum for its courses allowing a great deal of flexibility and specialisation for the faculty of NPGC and allows students to receive a comprehensive education.

Yes, NPGC Lucknow is an affiliate of Lucknow University, which is a state-owned university. NPGC was established by the then Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Late Chandra Bhanu Gupta. It is currently being run under the auspices of the Motilal Memorial Society, with a mission to impart education but also to train virtuous and competent citizens for the nation.
