NDA Pattern

Indeed, multiple-choice questions (MCQs) make up the majority of the NDA (National Defence Academy) exam style. The General Ability Test (GAT) and Mathematics are the two papers that make up the test. There are 120 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in the mathematics paper and 150 MCQs in the general knowledge, science, and English sections of the GAT. Candidates must choose the right response from the four options that are usually provided for each question. The NDA exam is renowned for being competitive, and a large number of candidates can be evaluated consistently thanks to the use of multiple-choice questions. This format assesses candidates' knowledge as well as their capacity for prompt and precise decision-making under pressure.

At NDA, the training programme lasts for three years, or six terms. Every year, there are two distinct spring seasons: fall (July to December) and spring (January to May). Throughout the three years, cadets receive academic instruction as well as training in multiple sports. There are two terms in the NDA academic year. January to May (July through December) is when it starts. The cadet encounters six of these terms. Three years are dedicated to the training phase. The NDA 3-Year Course Fees are the candidates' next worry when they enroll in the course. The expense of NDA training, including housing, books, uniforms, boarding, and medical care, will be paid for by the government. Parents or guardians of cadets will be required to pay for their own expenses as well as other personal expenses.

The NDA exam is administered twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to select male and female applicants for admission to the Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) and its Army, Navy, and Air Force branches. Two steps make up the NDA selection process: a written exam and an SSB interview. It is initially necessary for all registered applicants to show up for the written test. Candidates are chosen for the SSB interview for the personality and IQ test based on how well they performed on the written exam. The Indian Naval Academy determines the final candidate pool for the NDA and 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme based on the number of openings, eligibility, medical suitability, and merit-cum-preference of applicants. About 5 Lacs applicants submit their applications.
