No, NCERT books are not enough for NDA preparation. To master each subject, you will need to consult some other practice books and other reference materials. The NCERTs are a crucial part of preparation for the math paper and the GK section of the GAT. These books help build a strong foundation for paper as well as being reliable government sources. However, you will need some other preparation material, such as sectional practice books. No, you cannot take the NDA entrance examination after 10th grade. As per the academic eligibility criteria of the NDA you need to have passed or be appearing in the 12th grade. If you are appearing in the 12th exams, you need to submit your marksheet at the time of document verification. Therefore, you can take the NDA in 12th grade. This exam is conducted twice a year by the UPSC. You must be between the ages of 16.5 and 19.5 to take the NDA exam.

1. Apply for the NDA exam, which is conducted twice by the UPSC after passing your 12th.

Yes, you can apply for NDA exam while you are studying commerce in class 12th, but you will only be eligible for the army as the other two services give you a B.Tech degree for which Science stream is compulsory in class 11 & 12. But the following conditions should also be kept in mind:
1) Your age must be between 16.5 and 19.5 on the day of reporting to the academy, provided you make it in the final merit list and get the joining letter.
2) You must be able to provide the class 12th marksheet and Certificate on the day of reporting to the academy, or before the cutoff date as stipulated by the respective HQ.

The male and female eligibility criteria include factors such as nationality, NDA age limit, NDA qualification, NDA physical test and medical standards.
