The NEET MDS scorecard or result will be valid for one academic year. For example, candidates who have qualified for NEET MDS 2025 can opt for admission only for the academic year 2025-26. Seeking admission for the next academic year through the NEET MDS will not be permitted. In case a candidate qualified for NEET MDS 2025, but did not complete admission process, or did not qualify for the exam, he or she will have to appear for the NEET MDS exam next year and qualify to complete the admission process.

The NEET MDS admit card mentions the list of prohibited or barred items at the exam centre, on the day of the exam:
- Any stationery item like textual material (printed or written), notes, plastic pouch, calculator, pen, writing pad, pen drives, eraser, rough paper etc.
- Any electronic device like mobile phones, Bluetooth, earphones, microphone, pager, wrist watch/health band, calculator, electronic pen/scanner etc.
- All ornaments like bracelets, rings, earrings, nose-pin, chain/necklace, pendants, necklace with pendants, badge, brooch etc.
- Other items like wallet, goggles, handbags, belt, cap, gloves etc.
- Any edible item opened or packed, soft

The NEET MDS admit card has a barcode on top of the document. It is primarily used for identification and verification purposes. The barcode carries information entered by candidates during the registration process. Upon reaching the exam centre, the officials will scan the barcode on the admit card of NEET MDS and cross-check the information with the photo identity card. In case of a mismatch, they may not be allowed entry.

The total number of exam centres in NEET MDS varies every year. While NBEMS or the exam conducting body releases the number of NEET MDS exam cities every year, the exact number of the exam centres or the names or addresses, are not announced. The NEET MDS 2025 exam centres were located in 59 cities, whereas in 2024, the number of exam cities were 56.

Candidates will be informed about the NEET MDS exam centre allotment on their admit card. Candidates will be allotted an exam centre based on the city they chose in the application form. The NEET MDS admit card carries the name and complete address of the NEET MDS exam centre, along with the Google Map link on the document, which will make it easy for the candidates to reach the exam centre.

The different types of NEET MDS seats are given below:
· All India 50% Quota seats (all states)
· Central Universities and Deemed Universities
· State Quota seats
· Private Dental Colleges
· Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) institutes.

To participate in the NEET MDS counselling, candidates have to pay a non-refundable registration fee of INR 1,000 (Unreserved category) or INR 500 (Reserved categories) for 50 per cent All India Quota seats or Central Universities. For Deemed Universities, candidates from all categories have to pay INR 5,000. Along with the registration fee, candidates also have to pay a refundable Security Deposit of INR 25,000 (Unreserved category) or INR 10,000 (Reserved categories) for the 50 per cent All India Quota or Central Universities. The Security Deposit amount for Deemed Universities is INR 2 Lacs for all candidates.

No, NEET MDS application form can be filled in an online mode only. Candidates have to visit the NBE website and click on the NEET MDS section and complete the registration and application procedure by filling in the mandatory details, uploading the documents such as certificates, photograph and signature, and paying the requisite application fee in an online mode. Even if a candidate plans to send the hardcopy of the filled up NEET MDS application form by post, it will not be accepted making the candidate ineligible to appear for the exam.
