The NEET MDS counselling is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The counselling process is taken over by the MCC after the exam results. The NBE role ends with the release of NEET MDS result and cutoff. The MCC conducts MDS counselling for 50 per cent All India Quota seats and the rest 50 per cent seats quota is filled by the respective state authorities.

No, candidates need not register for each round of NEET MDS counselling separately. In case a candidate has registered in the first round, and wishes to participate in the further rounds, then they need not register afresh. They just need to log in and complete the rest of the procedures such as choice filling and locking. Candidates must also note that if they have taken admission based on the seat allotment result of a particular round, they will not be eligible to participate in the further rounds unless they surrender the seat.

Yes, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) states that it is necessary to report to the institute first and then opt for resignation. MCC states, "Candidates willing to upgrade from Round 1 to Round 2 have to report at the allotted institute/college with original documents of round 1 and complete the admission formalities. During the completion of admission formalities, if the candidate wishes to upgrade then he/she has to give willingness for upgradation in the college."

Yes, it is mandatory to carry the original documents at the institute reporting process of the NEET MDS counselling process. Although candidates can carry the photocopies as a backup, but during document verification, they will have to present the original documents. To be on the safer side, it is best to carry both original and photocopy of the necessary documents.

At the time of registration for NEET MDS counselling, a candidate needs to pay two kinds of fee, refundable and non refundable.  Non-refundable: A candidate who wishes to participate in the counselling of NEET MDS has to pay a non-refundable registration fee for the submission of choices and Refundable: During the registration process a candidate is also required to pay a part of the tuition fee. This will be refunded to the candidate if he/ she is not allocated a seat in the counselling process. Candidates do have to pay both fees during registration for NEET MDS counselling.
