Your 1,83,200 All India Rank positioning under the SC category alongside your NEET score of 518 gives you decent prospects to obtain an MBBS seat in either government or private medical colleges through state quota or AIQ. Candidates from the SC category need scores ranging from 500 to 530 to qualify for government colleges and can present scores below 500 to enter private medical institutes.

The probability is better for NEET candidates who apply to states that maintain low admission standards including Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. Through the 85% state quota system you have an opportunity to get admission into governm

No, there are almost no chances of getting a government college for a B.Sc in nursing with 198 marks in NEET. As you have not mentioned your category, assuming it to be general, the cut-off marks for general category candidates are usually around 550. You may still have a few chances of getting a private college, and that too a normal one. Government colleges usually have high cutoffs due to high demand and low availability of seats. If your target is to get a government seat only, you are advised to reappear for the exam and score a better rank.

In order to apply for NEET counseling, you need to go to the official website of the Medical Council Commission (MCC) and register. After that, you need to enter your personal details, including your NEET UG roll number, date of birth, and security pin, and choose your stream, and then you need to pay the fees and print the receipt. Talking about the documents required, the following is the list:

  1. NEET admit card issued by NTA.

  2. NEET Seat Allotment Letter Issued by MCC.

  3. Date of Birth Certificate (if Matric Certificate does not bear the same)

  4. NEET Result/Rank Letter Issued by NTA.

  5. Class X Certificate and Marksheet.

  6. Class XII Certificate.
