The minimum NEET percentage required for MBBS depends on the category to which the candidate belongs to. For exam the minimum cutoff for unreserved categories is 50%, while for SC/ST and OBC it is 40%. The Medical counselling committee or MCC releases the minimum marks or the cut off marks. There are several factors that are considered for determining the minimum marks. JIPMER Puducherry inducts candidates for the MBBS programme based on valid NEET-UG scores followed by the counselling process conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
The NEET last round closing rank for admission to the MBBS programme at the JIPMER, Puducherry was 17588. Candidates having their rank as specified by the institute cut-off list can register for the counselling round at JIPMER followed by document verification and fee payment leading to final seat allotment.

For BDS, the total tuition fee is approximately 14.8L. Students with 50% marks in 10+2 or an equivalent course who cleared the NEET-UG cut-off meet the eligibility criteria for this course. NEET admit card is a crucial document which is a must to be carried to the exam centre on the day of the exam. The NEET admit card will be valid till the admission process is completed. After the exam day, the NEET admit card will be required during the counselling process, where it is one of the documents for verification. Candidates must note that the NEET admt card will be valid for one exam season only. The admit card of NEET cannot be utilised for the exam of next year, or any other exam.

As per the dates trend of the past few years, the National Testing Agency (NTA), the exam conducting authority releases the NEET admit card approximately three to four days before the actual exam date. In the past couple of years, from 2021 to 2023, the NEET admit card or the hall ticket was released approximately three to four days befoe the exam. Prior to that, the admit card was released three to four months in advance. Off late, NTA is releasing the document few days before the exam to avoid malpractices.
