Yes, you can pursue the M.Des course at NID on the basis of 4 years GDPD courses. GDPD course is a Diploma level course. While B. Des is an Undergraduate level degree course. The eligibility criteria and course duration are the same for both courses. Fee structure is also a big difference between the both of courses. The fee details of both of courses are given below.
1. B. Des Course fee : Rs 1207800 (Excluding hostel charges)
2. GDPD Course fee : Rs 953200 (NID Andhra Pradesh) Excluding hostel charges.

Hello!
The applicants must have passed the qualifying examination I.e. 10+2 level or an equivalent examination from any recognised board in the year 2019or will be appearing for the same in the year 2019. Students from all streams are eligible to apply. Those who appeared in the examination before 2018 are not eligible for UCEED 2019. All the best.

In order to pursue Masters in product design, you should have a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline under the 10+2+4 (or more) system from any recognised university or recognised institute in India. You need to appear for The Design Aptitude Test (that) as an entrance exam, which is categorized into Prelims test and Mains test. Hi Nivedita, The candidate must possess at least one of the following minimum qualifications to be considered eligible for admissions in NID:
Bachelor's degree of minimum 4-year duration in any specialisation, after 10+2 system, from any university or institute recognised by law in India.
Condition: Applicant must (have passed/have appeared for/be appearing for) the Bachelor degree examinations before July 2018.
or
Bachelor's degree of minimum 3-year duration in any specialisation, under the 10+2 system.
Condition: Applicants must have passed the Bachelor degree examinations before July 2017.

Hi Sudra! Applications for Bachelors course in NID are open to applicants who have passed or will appear for higher secondary (10+2) qualifying examinations in the academic year 2017-18 in any stream (Science, Arts, Commerce, etc.) from any recognised board of education such as CBSE, IB, ICSE or their equivalent. Also, the upper age limit for candidates is 20 years as on 30 June 2018. If you are looking for M.Des, then also you need to be a recent graduate. So, Unfortunately you are not eligible.

All candidates applying for Bachelor of Design programmes must fulfil the following criteria:
CRITERION 1 - AGE LIMIT
- Upper age limit for candidates is 20 years of age (relaxable by three years for reserved category) on or before July 1, 2016.
- General Category applicants: Candidates born on or before July 1, 1997 are not eligible.
