Yes, candidates belonging to the SC, and other reserved categories will be considered for admission under both the respective and open categories.
Considering you belong to the SC category, this means you will be considered for open and SC admission lists. If you meet the cut-off in any of these lists, you will get admission.
But the institute you are being allocated will depend on the course you have selected (and their order of priority) at the time of choice-filling. Note that if you are not offered the first preferred seat, you are typically considered for upgradation in subsequent rounds.

NIFT 2026 counseling process will be conducted online and will have multiple rounds. In the previous edition of the exam, three regular rounds, followed by a SPOT round, of seat allotment were conducted.
If you meet the cut-off in any of these rounds, you will be considered for admission in that round. However, if you fail to meet the cut-off criteria, you may be considered for admission in the subsequent rounds provided you meet the cut-off for that round. At National Institute of Fashion Technology, Bangalore, students can pursue a four-year undergraduate degree in BFTech. NIFT Bangalore offers Bachelor of Fashion Technology (BFTech) at undergraduate level. The institute offers the course in Apparel Production. Students who have passed Class 12 or its equivalent from a recognised board can apply for the course. National Institute of Fashion Techonology (NIFT) Bangalore, also accepts lateral entry for the course. Yes, admission to BFTech course at NIFT Bangalore is completely entrance-based. Students who have passed Class 12 or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised board are eligible to apply for the course. The institute shortlists candidates on the basis score obtained by them in the entrance exam conducted by NIFT. The test includes General Ability Test (GAT). NIFT Kannur Cutoff 2026 Round 2 was released for different M.Des, MFM and B.Des courses. The Cutoff was released for different categories under the AI quota. For the General AI category candidates, the Cutoff ranks ranged between 212 and 3011. The most competitive course was Master of Design (M.Des), with closing cutoff of 212 . The easiest to get into for the General AI category candidates was B.Des I Textile Designing.

Well, yes you might get admission to this college through a rank of 900. As per the cutoff NIFT Kangra 2026 for the general AI category, the cutoff for the second round is between 238 to 2908
Also, for the OBC AI category, admission can go up to 2707, hence your admission will become possible.

According to the NIFT Jodhpur cut-off 2026 round two lies in the range from 245 to 1919. Therefore, those students who have a rank within 1919 can qualify for admission in NIFT. This is the cutoff range for the General AI category , other categories will have different cutoffs.

For the General AI category, the NIFT Hyderabad cutoff 2025 ranged from 102 to 1196 for this category.
