Yes, candidates belonging to the SC, and other reserved categories will be considered for admission under both the respective and open categories.

Considering you belong to the SC category, this means you will be considered for open and SC admission lists. If you meet the cut-off in any of these lists, you will get admission.

But the institute you are being allocated will depend on the course you have selected (and their order of priority) at the time of choice-filling. Note that if you are not offered the first preferred seat, you are typically considered for upgradation in subsequent rounds.

NIFT 2026 counseling process will be conducted online and will have multiple rounds. In the previous edition of the exam, three regular rounds, followed by a SPOT round, of seat allotment were conducted. 

If you meet the cut-off in any of these rounds, you will be considered for admission in that round. However, if you fail to meet the cut-off criteria, you may be considered for admission in the subsequent rounds provided you meet the cut-off for that round. Or, else you will have to wait for the SPOT round, where seats will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Vacant seats after completion of the regular

At National Institute of Fashion Technology, Bangalore, students can pursue a four-year undergraduate degree in BFTech. Students who have passed Class 12 or its equivalent from a recognised board can apply for the course. National Institute of Fashion Techonology (NIFT) Bangalore, also accepts lateral entry for the course. Yes, admission to BFTech course at NIFT Bangalore is completely entrance-based. Students who have passed Class 12 or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised board are eligible to apply for the course. The institute shortlists candidates on the basis score obtained by them in the entrance exam conducted by NIFT. The test includes General Ability Test (GAT). Interested students can visit the official website of National Institute of Fashion Technology to know more about the course.

NIFT Kannur Cutoff 2024 Round 3 was released for different M.Des, MFM and B.Des courses. The Cutoff was released for different categories under the AI quota. For the General AI category candidates, the Cutoff ranks ranged between 206 and 2229. The most competitive course was Master of Design (M.Des), with closing cutoff of 206. The easiest to get into for the General AI category candidates was B.Des I Textile Designing.

NIFT Kangra accepts NIFT Cutoff ranks for B.Des admission. The NIFT Kangra Cutoff 2024 was released for Round 3. The Cutoff ranks for the General AI category candidates ranged between 205 and 2418. The most competitive Cutoff rank for the same was Master of Design, with the Cutoff rank of 205. The easiest to get into NIFT Kangra, as per the round 3 Cutoff was B.Des in Textile Designing. Therefore, candidate with Cutoff rank of 900 can seek admission to NIFT Kangra.

NIFT Jodhpur accepts NIFT entrance exam scores for admission to the B.Des courses. NIFT Jodhpur 2024 cutoff was released up to Round 5 wherein the closing ranks ranged between 1290 and 2342 for the General AI category students. So, considering the last round NIFT cutoff, candidates must secure a rank up to 2342 to be eligible for NIFT Jodhpur B.Des admission. Candidates can refer to the table below to check out the last-round closing ranks for all the B.Des courses offered at NIFT Jodhpur for General AI category:

NIFT Hyderabad Cutoff 2024 Round 3 was released for MFM and B.F.Tech course. The Cutoff was released for different categories under the AI quota, in the form of opening and closing cutoff ranks. The Cutoff ranks for the General AI category candidates for the MFM course was 102 and for the B.F.Tech course was 245. The General AI category candidates with Cutoff rank of 300 cannot get admission to the NIFT Hyderabad. However, candidates falling under the OBC AI category can get admission to NIFT Hyderabad, as the Cutoff rank for OBC AI category candidates ranged between 1115 and 2749.
