BTech CSE is worth joining at NIT Andhra Pradesh because of the excellent placements, well-structured course curriculum, research opportunities, and vibrant campus life. 

The highest package for BTech CSE stood at INR 44.1 LPA in 2024 with a placement rate of 78.08%. Further, the course curriculum is designed to build strong theoretical and practical foundations. The electives include Data Analytics, Python, Java, etc.

NIT Andhra Pradesh offers excellent placements to its students. The highest package in 2026 stood at INR 65 LPA, with more than 180 recruiters visiting the campus during the placement drive. Further, more than 510 offers were made, recording a placement rate of 80.94%.

NIT Andhra Pradesh CSE cutoff 2026 was 18937 for the General AI category in the first round. Hence, students who had a rank below the one mentioned here would have a better chance at admission for this course.

Yes, NIT Andhra Pradesh is an autonomous government college. NIT Andhra Pradesh was established in 2015. The istitute is approved by the AICTE. The institute offers MS, PhD, BTech, and M.Tech programmes. Admission is based on JEE Mains scores for BTech programmes and GATE scores for M.Tech programmes admission.

NIT Andhra Pradesh offers various B.Tech course specialisations based on JEE Mains rank, followed by the JoSAA Counselling process. This year, in 2025, B.Tech closing ranks under the General HS quota ranged between 93928 and 17500, wherein B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering was the toughest, with the last round closing rank of 17,500 and B.Tech in Biotechnology the easiest. Given below is a table for the last round closing ranks for the General HS quota, sorted by most competitive to least competitive. Please keep in mind, other HS categories will have different cutoffs accordingly.

NIT Andhra Pradesh CCMT cutoff 2026 ranged from 357 to 455 for the General AI category in the third round. Hence, students who want admission in this NIT in the same round have to attain a rank of at least 455 or below. 

Check the table below to know the round 3 cutoff range for other AI quota categories.

To get a seat at NIT Andhra Pradesh for BTech., the candidate must qualify the JEE Main cutoff. The cutoff for JEE Mains has been released category-wise for All India and Home State quota candidates. For candidates belonging to the General AI category, the cutoff rank must be between 44623 and 109600. The most competitive specialisation among the General AI category candidates turned out to be BTech in CSE. 

For the General Home State quota candidates, the ranks closed between 103178 and 647755. The most difficult specialisation among the General HS category candidates was also BTech in CSE.
