NIT Andhrapradesh offers a maximumly similar number of seats for its M.Tech specialisation, except for two specialisations- M.Tech in Thermal Engineering and M.Tech in Computer Science and Data Analytics. Check out the number of seats allocated to these two specialisations in the table mentioned below:

MTech courses at NIT Andhra Pradesh are offered in full-time mode/ on-campus mode which means candidates are required to visit the institute for classroom lectures, practical sessions, and project work. To get enrolled in the regular M.Tech programme candidates are required to follow CCMT counselling because the institute follows the eligibility as per norms set by CCMT (Centralised Counseling for MTech).

NIT Andhra Pradesh has not released the 2024 cutoff data for the M.Tech course. However, the GATE cutoff for NIT Andhra Pradesh in 2023, 2022 and 2021 can be different for each M.Tech specialisation and the candidates can be divided into different categories as well. Cutoff scores often depend on the number of students, the number of places and the standard of the entrance test. To compare which NIT is best for an M.Tech course among NIT Trichy and NIT Andhra Pradesh, candidates can consider one of the major factors i.e., ROI (Return on Investment). The tuition fees of both NITs for M.Tech course is INR 1.4 lakh, but the average package provided by the NIT Trichy for M.Tech is INR 10 lakh, and on the other hand, the average package provided by the NIT Andhra Pradesh is INR 6.1 lakh. Hence, NIT Trichy provides better ROI than NIT Andhra Pradesh.

The tuition fees for M.Tech courses at NIT Andhra Pradesh from is INR 1.4 lakh,   and the tuition fees for M.Tech at NIT Rourkela ranges from INR 1.4 Lacs to INR 6.3 lakhConclusively,  the tuition fees of NIT Andhra Pradesh are more affordable than NIT Rourkela. However, the fee structure can be only one component that candidates consider while comparing IIITs and NITs but several factors can be taken into account while choosing the best college, such as placement packages, seats, ranking of that particular institute, affiliation, accreditation, etc.

Currently, the institute has not released the recent placement statistics for M.Tech courses. However, according to the previous years' placements, the median package offered to M.Tech courses in the years 2021, 2022 and 2023 is presented below in the table:

Yes, NIT Andhra Pradesh (National Institute of Technology) follows seat reservation policies for M.Tech courses. These reservations are in line with the Government of India's guidelines and are applicable to various categories such as:

  • Scheduled Castes (SC): 15% of the total seats.
  • Scheduled Tribes (ST): 7.5% of the total seats.

To get a seat at NIT Andhra Pradesh course, candidates should have completed a bachelor's degree in engineering or technology in a relevant field with a minimum of 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale. For the selection process of the course, the institute accepts the score of GATE followed by CCMT counselling.
