- The IIT JAM 2026 exam for admission to the MSc course is scheduled for Feb 15, 2026.
- The CSAB Special Counselling 2025 Round 3 has concluded with the announcement of the seat allotment results for admission to BE/BTech courses.
- The GATE 2026 registrations are now over for admission to Ph.D. and ME/Mtech course. The GATE 2026 exam will be conducted on Feb 7, Feb 8, Feb 14, and Feb 15, 2026.
- The JEE Main 2026 registration process for admission to BTech, BArch, and BPlan courses is expected to start from Oct 2025 onwards. For session 1, the JEE Main 2026 exam will tentatively be conducted between Jan 21 and Jan 30, 2026.

As the institute is fairly new, it is understandable that it will take some time before it builds a similar reputation as other top NITs. It has a decent infrastructure and the library has a wide range of books spanning over various topics. The faculty are said to be knowledgeable, helpful and amazing at their work. Students pursuing the BTech course at the institute can expect an average package of INR 8.75 LPA.
A placement drive for 2022, with 48.3% of placements, has been concluded by the National Institute of Technology Arunachal Pradesh.
