Hey Mohit,
It would be a tough call to get NIT with this much score in JEE mains but you can wait for the counseling. However, I would suggest you to apply for some other colleges so that you are not in trouble at a later stage. You can check out LPU in Jalandhar offering best scholarship based on 12 marks. Some other colleges to consider are-

There is no provision for direct admission to NIT in reserved category. Direct admissions facility in NIT is for Foreign Nationals/Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)/Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) under Direct Admission Of Students Abroad (DASA) category.

don't know about next year but this year it did. your jee ranks carry 40% board weightage so can create considerable difference in ranks.

I think you are not get the cutoff marks in general category so you are not eligible to apply in NITs abd government colleges as my knowledge however you have very good percentage so you have a great chance to get good colleges.
