For admission in NIT or IIT, your category rank is considered if you have that.

Hello Kritarth Mittal, I can understand your angst and anxiety. Unfortunately comparing different colleges to NITs for individual branches is just not feasible. Besides, it can be no guarantee for its performance four years from today, when you will pass out. Presently students prefer older NITs, but let me assure you that newer ones are making extra efforts to be in reckoning and we are bound to see surprises in the future. In the meantime, you can go by NIRF ranking. Best wishes to you.

Sports facilities are good but need 2 be improved, as they are not at par with the old IITs. If you compare our sports meet Vajra to IIT BHU's sports meet Spardha, then we stand no where. But at the same time our sports facilities are far better than almost all NIT's. Now coming 2 your 2nd question, CSE here is a guarantee for placement until and unless you have multiple backlogs. Average CSE placement would be around Rs 10 lakhs and almost all giant companies visit our campus for placement every year. So you can blindly trust BIT, Mesra for CSE.

% at which admissions stop keeps changing every year. It depends on host of factors. However a way to find out is download any college predictor for JEE Mains and keep on filling different rankings till you stop getting admission
