Congratulations on your JEE Main percentile score of 94.9865 in the SC category. However, admission to the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) also depends on your class 12th performance, JEE Main rank, and the cutoff for the specific NIT and branch you are interested in. Based on your class 12th percentage of 64.4, it might be difficult to get admission in a top NIT for popular branches like Computer Science, Electronics, and Mechanical Engineering. However, you might have a chance of getting admission in less popular branches like Metallurgical Engineering, Mining Engineering, or Chemical Engineering, depending on the cutoff ran

Congratulations to your son on securing 96 percentile in JEE Mains! However, NITs and many other engineering colleges have eligibility criteria that require candidates to have a minimum percentage of marks in their 12th standard board exams. Typically, candidates should have scored at least 75% marks in their 12th standard board exams or should be in the top 20 percentile of their respective boards to be eligible for admission in NITs. However, there is a relaxation of 5% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories. Since your son has scored 72% marks in his 12th standard board exams, he may not be eligible for admission in

No you can't get seat in NIT on this rank. Your rank should be below 3500 for seat confirmation.

The admission in NITs, IIITs and GFTIs are based on the ranks obtained in JEE Main. Your JEE Main marks are not enough to get NITs.

The admission process for National Institutes of Technology (NITs) in India is based on various factors, including the JEE Main scores. However, the cutoff percentile for admission to NITs can vary each year and is different for different categories. While a 96 percentile is a good score, it does not guarantee admission to any specific NIT. The admission process also considers factors such as the number of available seats, the total number of applicants, and the category-wise cutoffs. These factors can fluctuate from year to year.

The required score and rank in JEE Main to get admission in a good NIT for B.Tech varies every year and depends on various factors such as the number of applicants, difficulty level of the exam, and availability of seats. However, based on previous year's cutoffs, a general category candidate needs to score at least 90-95 percentile in JEE Main and a minimum of 99-100 marks (out of 300) to have a chance of getting admission in a good NIT for B.Tech. In terms of rank, it also depends on the category of the candidate and the branch of B.Tech. Generally, for a good NIT, a general category candidate needs to have a rank within the range of

Hello Manisha Adhikari, your JEE Mains rank of about two and a half Lacs is reasonably okay but it may not fetch you a SEED in NIT etc. This is because the maximum number of seats available in these institutions is just about 50000 and out of these 50% are for various reserved categories so you can imagine how much is available for general category. If you are from EWS category then out of the 25000 seeds only 10% or available and in that also you are ranking is more than 40000. So you can SEE for yourself as to where you stand. But then admissions are a very funny process many time's surprising results come out and students way below
