With a general EWS rank of 15928, you might have a better chance of getting admission through the EWS quota in some NITs. It is important to note that the cutoff ranks for admission to NITs vary each year based on various factors like the difficulty level of the exam, the number of applicants, and the availability of seats.
To get a clearer picture of which NITs you might have a chance of getting into with your rank, I would recommend checking the previous year's cutoff ranks for various NITs. You can also participate in the JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counseling process to see the options available to you based on you

With a Common Rank List (CRL) rank of 60,000 in JEE Mains via the OBC category, you have a good chance of securing a seat for the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) branch in some IIITs and NITs. While it may be challenging to secure a seat in the more popular institutes, there are several Government Funded Technical Institutions (GFTIs) and NITs that accept ranks in the range of 50,000 to 75,000 in JEE Mains. Some of the colleges accepting ranks in this range include NIT Raipur, NIT Jalandhar, IIIT Manipur, Assam University (Silchar), and BIT Mesra.

IIITs are also known as Indian Institutes of Information Technology, whereas NITs are National Institutes of Technology. NITs are among of the best engineering institutes and are often government-sponsored, whereas IIITs are autonomous institutions that primarily focus on information technology and are also partially subsidised by the government. So, if students want to pursue education in information technology, they can choose IIIT Sri City, and if they want to pursue a different stream, NIT is the ideal option. In the end, the final decision is up to the students and their priorities.

The ROI of NIT Goa is quite good as the total tuition fee for its flagship BTech course is INR 5 lakh whereas the package offered to BTech students can be as high as INR 26 LPA. Increase or decrease in the seat intake has not much impacted the quality of education the college provides to students. The college does not descriminate students while providing placement assistance. Outstation or not, opportunities are same for everyone. In the end, during placements, students skills play a crucial role in fetching good jobs.
