A lot of students are desirous of getting into only top 5 NITs. It's, of course, good to have such dreams/aims. However, one needs to score better and even better if a particular branch is sought. In view of the above, I feel you should aim to get 275+ marks in JEE Mains.

It is typical to say as every year the cut-off changes but still
for general category students, you need to have your AIR below the given figures for the given branches.
Computer-6000
Mechanical-13000
EC-13000
Chemical-20000
Civil-24000
Electrical-16000
This is for a top NIT like NIT-Surat
If you have decent marks in the plus two then anything above 160 in Mains will be good.

If you want to know different courses conducted by these institutions then it's available on their respective websites. It's of course better to know different courses and then decide.
Best wishes.

With the marks you obtained in JEE Mains, you have no chance of getting admission in any of the NITs. However, if you have appeared for MHTCET then perhaps there are some chances of getting admission in Maharashtra.

You have to score minimum of 75% in 12th. To get into a good NIT, you should aim to score at least 275+ marks in JEE Mains. This perhaps will get you the branch you wanted.

Almost, all older NITs offer this branch of engineering. The new ones are expected to do it shortly. Simultaneously, there are many private colleges which too offer this course.

For students from your category, competition is a bit less and hence, I feel that even though you have scored less, you have chances of getting admission in one of the NITs.

Firstly, you have scored less than qualifying marks in your board and hence, you are not eligible for admission in any NITs. Secondly, with the score of JEE Mains, you can perhaps get admission in only private college.

With the marks that you have scored in JEE Mains as against boards, I feel your chances of getting admission in any of the NIT's is rather very slim.

You have to appear and score well in JEE Mains. You should aim for a score of at least above 200 to get admission.
