From this year, class 12th marks will not be considered for JEE Mains. You may get NIT of North-East states but I would advice you to rather keep preparing for JEE Advance from now itself.

Hello Amit,
A lot of people still believe in the myth that pursuing B,Tech from IITs and NITs only can land them up in a decent job and you are no exception. I would like to let you know that there are a number of private colleges providing quality education and placements which are at par with the government institutes, and in some cases, even better than government institutes. I understand that getting enrolled into IITs and NITs is the dream of every engineering aspirant and the government colleges are also comparatively much cheaper than their private counterparts, but the harsh truth is these colleges have limited seats and not eve

Hello Arvind,
The passing cut-off for GATE is 25 marks. For NITs, you need to have at least 50 marks to expect a call. Therefore, based on your marks, I regret to inform you that you are not eligible for admission into any NITs. However, you can appear for other entrance examinations conducted by different states and private universities in India. Further, if this was your first attempt for GATE examination, you can study hard for another year and attempt again in the following year.
I hope this answers your question to your satisfaction. If so, kindly upvote this answer. If you have any further questions, kindly revert.

Hi,
You may directly go through JEE Mains to join IISc that offers course in aerospace engineering. Otherwise your route is fine to be a scientist. Just ensure to keep participating in different projects related to your interest.

Hello,
OBC students are scoring very well in exams and hence you need to score more to get admission. With your score, I feel you can still get some branches in one of the NIT's.

Hi,
NIT, Suratakal is a primer NIT and high in demand with students. Most of the seats get filled in first round but there are seats in 2nd or 3rd round in some branches of engineering which are generally lower in demand.

You should focus on the counselling process. You can try to join Nagpur instead of Raipur because NIT - Nagpur is far better than Raipur.

It depends on your caliber. If you are good with your concepts, then you can have a chance. Else, you might need to drop a year.

Dear Biswajeet,
No, it's not a good choice to do M.Tech in steel technology. After doing this course, there will be limited opportunities. You should choose either thermal engineering, design stream, manufacturing or precision engineering stream. There is more demand of this. Otherwise, choice is yours.
