Under the UGC grading of all the universities, UPES is a A grade university. As here you are comparing from IITs and NIITs definitely it is less. I don't know the exact ranking. But here placement is much better than many private universities like AMITY, MANIPAL, etc. Placement here is quite good.

If you take admission with new scores next year, you will have to start from first year. There is no way of skipping to the 2nd year.

No, you may not get any NIT with this score. But as you are eligible for Advanced, you should concentrate on that first.

No, You may not any your preferred branch with this mark in OBC Category in NITs and IITs. Insted you can try for some other reputed Government Private colleges.

An nit is hard due to your category although your 12th marks also depend on it. Other than that you can get a good private college with these marks. All the best!
