NIT Warangal is ranked 53rd by NIRF 2024 under the Overall category,  21st by NIRF 2024 under the Engineering category, and 59th by the US News 2024 under the University (Overall) category. The college has experienced faculty members, staff, and has state-of-the-art infrastructure. 

National Institute of Technology, Warangal (Deemed University) earlier known as the Regional Engineering College was established in 1959. Warangal NIT, through various departments, offers UG, PG, and other courses to students.

NIT Warangal was given a ranking of 21st by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2024 out of all the engineering institutes in India. In 2023 and 2022, the institute was ranked the same, however, at that time it had moved up two spots from the 23rd position in the "Engineering" category of the NIRF 2021. Additionally, NIT Warangal received a ranking of 53rd in the NIRF 2023's "Overall" category.

No, government colleges like IIT, NIT and IIIT take admission directly. You have to appear JEE Mains to get admission with a very good rank.
