LDCE Ahmedabad is a better choice for EC if your priority is placements and industry exposure. It has a stronger reputation in Gujarat for core engineering and generally attracts more recruiters for electronics. MSU Baroda is also a good government university with good academics, but for EC, I would prefer LDCE.

The ECE department at Galgotias University has separate labs for different subjects so students can learn through practice along with theory. Areas like electronics, communication, embedded systems, IoT, VLSI, and microprocessors are covered through lab work and projects. Students also get chances to use modern equipment and gain practical understanding during the course.

If your priority is placement opportunities, I would recommend CSE over ECE at Galgotias University. CSE students generally have access to a larger pool of software and IT recruiters and the university's placement ecosystem is particularly strong for CSE and related specializations. Official placement data also highlights a broad recruiter base and significant hiring in tech roles.
That said, whichever branch you choose, your coding skills, projects, internships and interview preparation will have a major impact on your placement outcomes.

No, you cannot get the IIIT Allahabad BTech ECE branch in the first round for any category. For admission to this branch, General AI quota students need a rank of at least 6788 or lower to be qualified for admission.
If you do want admission to this branch, you can opt for the Netaji Subhas University of Technology (East Campus) institute. This college had the round 1 cutoff of 7575.
You can also wait for the next rounds of cutoff to be released. Usually, the accepting ranks get more accommodating as each round passes.

hi,
With a GATE EC 2026 score of 609 under the EWS category, you have a strong profile for M.Tech in VLSI and related specializations. Along with IITs and NITs, Lovely Professional University is also a good option to consider for advanced studies in VLSI and Electronics. LPU offers industry-oriented M.Tech programs with modern semiconductor and embedded systems labs, experienced faculty, research exposure, and collaborations with leading companies. The university emphasizes practical learning, innovation, and placement support through training programs, internships, and industry projects, helping students build strong careers in VLSI d
