Seat intake veries at NLIU Bhopal. There are 134 seats available for B.A. LLB, 68 for BSc, and for LLM is 120. To secure the seat at NLIU, candidates must appear for CLAT examination. The seat reservation at NLSIU is applicable as per the Government rule. A total of 5% of the intake is reserved horizontally for Person with Disabilities (PwD) category candidates.

NLIU Bhopal offers more LLM courses than AKS University, but to get into NLIU is tougher than AKS University. AKS University admission takes place through the CUET-PG entrance exam whereas NLIU admissions take place through the highly competitive CLAT exam.

In addition to that, the tuition fee of NLIU is costlier when compared to AKS University. This makes it harder to get into an LLM programme at NLIU, but at the same time, candidates get a more varied understanding of the discipline as more LLM courses are being offered by the university. NLIU Bhopal MS in Cyber Law and Information Security (MCLIS) application fees are INR 1,000 for General and OBC applicants, and INR 500 for SC/ST category. The CLAT registration fee is INR 4,000, and INR 3, 500 for SC/ST/ BPL category students. NLIU Bhopal admission is based on theCLAT UG and CLAT PG for B.A. LLB (Hons) / BSc LLB (Hons) and LLM courses respectively.

Eligible candidates with a valid score in CLAT PG are selected for LLM admission at NLIU Bhopal. Selected candidates must appear for counselling process conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities [ NLUs]. Applicants with an LLB degree with 50% aggregate are eligible for admission to LLM at NLIU.
