There are around 5 Nuclear engineering colleges in India, out of which 3 are privately-owned and 2 are government colleges. The government colleges include IIT Kanpur and Jadavpur University. The B.Tech in Nuclear Science programme exists at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur which costs INR 2 Lacs annually along with the Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU) in Kanpur that costs INR 1.2 Lacs per year.
