If you are thinking about a high-paying salary, the major difference is that biotechnology is a broad field. In this course, you will study about a lot of different subsets of biotechnology, that are bioinformatics, plant biology, animal biology, biochemistry, genetics and heredity, etc.
Microbiology is (somewhat) a type of specialisation. If you do choose B.Sc Microbiology you are confined to a type of field only for your Master's degree, but don't take my word for it. As I said earlier, different universities have a different syllabus and teaching styles too.

Registered nurses with a Bachelor's degree who are interested in becoming nurse practitioners can qualify for the position by earning a master's or doctoral degree in nursing. Many nurse practitioners specialise in a specific area of medicine such as paediatrics or family medicine during their graduate study. These programs typically take 2-3 years to complete and require students to take courses, seminars, and lectures in addition to completing a clinical residency. Common nursing courses may include healthcare management, pathophysiology, and advanced pharmacology.
