Yes, the AIIMS MSc Nursing Entrance exam is compulsory for admission to the MSc programme at AIIMS Hyderabad. Candidates must qualify in this exam and hold a valid scorecard to proceed to the counselling stage. Without clearing this exam, students will not be considered for seat allocation in any MSc specialisation at the institute. Moreover, as one of the recognised AIIMS of India, the Hyderabad college is not allowed to take any sort of direct admission to MSc courses.

Yes, an Indian student who studied in Nepal and completed 12th Science with grade A is eligible for B.Sc Nursing in India, provided she has studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects. Most nursing colleges in India accept students from recognised foreign boards if they meet the subject and marks criteria (usually 50% in PCB). She may also need to appear for entrance exams like NEET or state-level nursing entrance depending on the college requirements. Eligibility is valid in her case.

A GNM is not a doctor. GNM is a diploma-level course that prepares you to be a Nurse or a Midwife. Nurses and Midwives assist senior doctors in treatments and procedures done on patients. Though GNMs work closely with doctors and other healthcare professionals, they are not qualified and trained to diagnose illness, prescribe medicine, or perform any surgical treatment.

The main difference between a Nurse and a Midwife is that a Nurse provides care to patients of all ages and with several medical conditions. Meanwhile, a Midwife specializes in providing care to pregnant women during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum.
A Nurse has a wide scope of work in different departments like Oncology, OT, NICU, Emergency care, Pediatrics, etc., but a Midwife can only work in an Obstetrics & Gynecology department.
