GNM is General Nursing and Midwifery. GNM course is a 3 years 6 months diploma level course with a mandatory internship for 6 months. General Nursing and Midwifery GNM, focuses on providing skills and knowledge related to patient care and clinical treatment.
The minimum eligibility criteria to pursue the GNM course is that students must have completed class 12 from the Science Stream. Students that have studied biology in class 11-12 are given extra preference. GNM Nursing Admission takes place through merit or various state-level entrance exams such as WB GNM, Kerala GNM, Maharashtra GNM etc. GNM Entrance Exam Question Paper consists of 4 sections which are Bio-science, Behavioral Science, Nursing Foundation, and Community Health Nursing.

The AIIMS B.Sc. Nursing 2023 applicant must be a citizen of India. The minimum age of the applicant fixed by the exam conducting authority is 17 years at the time of admission. Applicant should have completed their HSC examination or some other exam equivalent to it with subjects like PCB or Physics Chemistry and Biology. The nursing applications are invited to female applicants only.
