AIIMS BSc nursing admit card will be released on May 19, 2023 by AIIMS Delhi at the official website. The application status window (Accept/Reject) of AIIMS nursing close on May 9, 2023 (5:00 PM) for B.Sc (Hons.) Nursing, Paramedical & B.Sc (Post-Basic) programs. The AIIMS application status (acceptance/rejection) window opened on May 4, 2023. The AIIMS nursing RUC Code Generation and final registration concluded on May 1, 2023. Previously, AIIMS Delhi extended the last registration date from April 28 to May 1, 2023. Candidates were allowed to complete the basic registration last till April 20, 2023. The AIIMS BSc nursing basic registration started on February 15, 2023. AIIMS nursing exam dates were released on the official website by AIIMS Delhi. AIIMS BSc nursing exam is scheduled to be held on June 12, 2023 whereas the BSc Nursing (Post Basic) exam will be conducted on May 27, 2023. The institute will announce the AIIMS BSc nursing result date as the result will be published online.
AIIMS BSc nursing exam is organised and conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi. Candidates will have to register themselves to appear in the AIIMS BSc Nursing exam and thereafter AIIMS will conduct counselling for the candidates who get shortlisted in the exam. In addition, AIIMS is yet to announce the BSc (Post Basic) exams date which is expected to be held in a single shift in online mode in the last week of June 2023. The exam conducting body will release the rank list on the official website for the candidates. Both these exams are computer-based and will be conducted at various test centres in India.
The AIIMS BSc nursing exam notification will be released by AIIMS Delhi along with the application form in April 2023. The AIIMS BSc Nursing Post Basic 2023 exam will be conducted in a computer-based mode in 150 test centres located in 14 cities across the country. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, Nursing programmes include BSc (Hons.) Nursing and BSc Nursing (Post-Basic). The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Hons) Nursing programme lasts four years, whereas the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Post-Basic) Nursing degree lasts two years. To pursue BSc (Hons.) AIIMS Nursing 2023 for BSc Admission Process
Admissions to AIIMS BSc Nursing programmes involves a set of procedure. From registration to release of the admit cards, to appearing for the national level entrance exam, and then attending the counselling rounds post the declaration of the result. Below is a brief description of the admission process mentioned:
Step 1: AIIMS Nursing for BSc registration 2023
To start the admission process, first, candidates have to register themselves. AIIMS Nursing 2023 for BSc admission involves a two-step registration/application process:
- Basic Registration
- Final Registration
Step 2: Download AIIMS BSc Nursing 2023 admit card
Candidates will be able to download the AIIMS BSc Nursing 2023 admit card, which will be released online. It is mandatory to carry the hard copy of the admit card on the day of the examination to access entry into the examination hall. The AIIMS BSc Nursing 2023 admit card will be available at the official website of the AIIMS by providing the registration ID and password. Candidates can start downloading the AIIMS BSc Nursing (Post Basic) admit card on May 19 and BSc nursing (hons.) on June 2, 2023.
Step 3: Appear for AIIMS Nursing for the BSc entrance exam
AIIMS conducts the national-level entrance exam. Candidates will have to appear for the AIIMS BSc Nursing exam to seek admission into the BSc Nursing programme offered by the AIIMS institutes across India. AIIMS conducts BSc (Hons) Nursing and BSc (Post-Basic) Nursing entrance exams separately on June 12, 2023 and May 27, 2023 respectively.
Step 4: Check AIIMS BSc Nursing 2023 Result
AIIMS BSc Nursing 2023 result will be declared on the official website of AIIMS via online mode. Candidates have to log in to their accounts using their credentials to access their results and are advised to take a printout of the same during the counselling and other processes.
Step 5: Appear for AIIMS Nursing 2023 for BSc Counselling
Candidates whose names have been mentioned in the merit list will be invited for counselling and the seat allocation process via online mode. Based on the percentile rank and the score, the candidates will be granted admission to their individual choice of AIIMS institute. The BSc (Post-Basic) Nursing candidates will have to appear for the Personal Interview/Assessment scheme through video conferencing mode (online mode) or personally by visiting the allotted venue.
Step 6: Fee and document submission to confirm admission
After the successful allotment of the seats and the institute, candidates have to submit the required fees (admission and tuition fee) along with the pre-requisite documents and undertakings. The candidates will be provided with the dates to attend the classes after completing the formalities.

Stage 2: Personal Interview/Assessment Scheme
Candidates who will make it to the merit list based on the written exam will be called for the personal interview/assessment round. The second stage will tentatively have a weightage of 30 marks. Further, the final merit list will be published on the website. A candidate's fate is decided based on their performance in both stages. Almost three times more candidates will be invited for the interview than the actual number of available seats. The assessment process will count the following criteria:
- Past academic record in the Higher Secondary or class 12 or equivalent examination
- Past academic record in the Nursing examination
- Performance as a Staff Nurse
AIIMS Nursing 2023 for BSc Application Form
AIIMS Nursing registration for BSc Hons and Post Basic concluded on May 1, 2023. Candidates whose registration request were accepted were eligible for the Final Registration process (fee payment and choice of the city). Notably, only candidates who were able to Generate Code for Final Registration were allowed to proceed with the fee payment and choose the city as their exam centre. AIIMS BSc Nursing 2023 application form-filling process was divided into two stages. The process is based on the Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration (PAAR) system, newly introduced by AIIMS.
Both stages are equally essential, and candidates should not miss out on any of the two stages. The two stages are:
- Stage 1: Basic Registration
- Stage 2: Final Registration
Stage 1: Basic Registration
The Basic Registration stage requires candidates to provide personal information such as their name, date of birth, email address (for communication purposes), mobile number (to send information and codes via SMS), as well as a scanned passport-size photo and a scanned image of their signature and thumb impression. Candidates will receive a registration ID and password after submitting their information. This will complete the Basic Registration procedure. It is recommended that candidates retain their registration ID and password safe for future usage.
Stage 2: Final Registration
Candidates were required to generate a code and pay the application cost after successfully submitting and accepting the Basic Registration form. Without the code, candidates were not allowed to complete the final registration process. During the final registration step, candidates were mandated to supply their academic information and select a city as the exam centre. AIIMS Nursing 2023 (BSc) application fee can was to be paid online using a Debit/Credit card or Net banking.

AIIMS Nursing for BSc (Hons) Eligibility
- Candidates should have cleared class 12 exams or an equivalent exam from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects.
- Candidates of the general category should have secured a minimum of 55 per cent in aggregate in class 12, and SC/ST category candidates should have secured 50 per cent in aggregate.
AIIMS Nursing for BSc (Post-Basic) Eligibility
- Candidates should have passed class 12 or an equivalent exam from a recognised board/university with Physics, Chemistry, English, and biology or Math subjects. However, candidates who have qualified for class 11 on or before 1986 can also apply.
- Candidates possessing a Diploma in GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) from any Indian Nursing Council recognised institution.
- Candidates must have registered themselves as nurses or midwives with the State Nursing Council. While in the case of male nurses, besides being registered nurses, they should have six-month training in any of the mentioned subjects is mandatory.
