About AIIMS Nursing (BSc)
AIIMS Nursing programmes in BSc (Hons.) Nursing, BSc Nursing (Post-Basic) is offered by All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. AIIMS Nursing 2021 exam will be conducted in the month of June, tentatively. Though no official dates have bee announced yet. The national level entrance exam will facilitate admissions in to BSc Nursing and BSc (Post-Basic) Nursing courses. Graduation in Nursing or BSc (Hons.) Nursing is a four-year professional course while the BSc (Post-Basic) Nursing is a two-year specialization course. To pursue BSc (Hons.) Nursing, the candidates should have minimum eligibility criteria, having completed class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as mandatory subjects. There are 20 seats for BSc Nursing (Post-basic) course and 571 seats for BSc (Hons.) Nursing.

AIIMS, New Delhi, examination section has defined a particular eligibility criteria for the candidates who wish to appear for AIIMS Nursing 2021 to pursue BSc programme. AIIMS Nursing 2021 eligibility criteria for various programmes at undergraduate level is mentioned below:
BSc (Hons) Nursing Eligibility
- Candidates should have cleared class 12 exams or an equivalent exam from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects.
- Candidates of the general category should have secured a minimum of 55 percent in aggregate in class 12 and SC/ST category candidates should have secured 50 percent in aggregate
BSc Paramedical Eligibility
- Candidates should have passed class or an equivalent exam from a recognized board/university having Physics, Chemistry, English and either Biology or Maths subjects
- Candidates from General/EWS/OBC category should have secured a minimum of 50 percent in aggregate in class 12 and SC/ST category candidates should have secured 45 percent in aggregate
BSc Nursing (Post-Basic) Eligibility
- Candidates should have passed class 12 or an equivalent exam from a recognized board/university having Physics, Chemistry, English and either Biology or Maths subjects. However, candidates who have qualified class 11 on or before 1986 can also apply.
- Candidates possessing diploma in GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) from any Indian Nursing Council recognized institution.
- Candidate must have a registered themselves as a nurse or as a midwife with the State Nursing Council. While in case of male nurses, besides being a registered nurse, they should have six-month training in any of the mentioned subjects is mandatory.

AIIMS BSc Nursing 2021 Admission Process
Admissions to AIIMS BSc Nursing programmes involves a set of procedure. From registration to release of the admit cards, to appear for the national level entrance exam and attending the counselling rounds post the declaration of the result. Below are the brief description of the admission process mentioned:
Step 1: AIIMS BSc Nursing registration 2021
To start the admission process, first candidates have to register themselves. The AIIMS BSc Nursing 2021 admission involves a two-step registration/application process:
- Basic Registration
- Final Registration
Step 2: Download AIIMS BSc Nursing 2021 admit card
Candidates have to download the AIIMS BSc Nursing 2021 admit card which is required to be produced in the form of hard-copy at the centre on the day of examination to access the entry into the examination hall. The AIIMS BSc Nursing 2021 admit card can be downloaded online from the official website of the AIIMS by providing the registration ID and password.
Step 3: Appear for AIIMS BSc Nursing entrance exam
AIIMS will conduct the national level entrance exam and candidates have to appear for AIIMS BSc Nursing exam in order to seek admission into the BSc Nursing programme offered by the AIIMS institutes across India. AIIMS conducts BSc (Hons.) Nursing and BSc (Post-Basic) Nursing entrance exams separately on different dates.
Step 4: Check AIIMS BSc Nursing 2021 Result
AIIMS BSc Nursing 2021 result is declared on the official website of the AIIMS via online mode. Candidates have to login to their accounts using their credentials to access their individual results and are advised to take a printout of the same to be used during the counselling and other processes.
Step 5: Appear for AIIMS BSc Nursing 2021 Counselling
Candidates whose names have been mentioned in the merit list will be invited for the counselling and the seat allocation process via the online mode. On the basis of the percentile rank and the score, the candidates will be granted admissions to their respective choice of AIIMS institute. The BSc (Post-Basic) Nursing candidates will have to appear for the Personal Interview/Assessment scheme through video conferencing mode (online mode) or personally by visiting to the allotted venue.
Step 6: Fee and document submission to confirm admission
After the successful allotment of the seats and the institute, candidates have to submit the required fees (admission and tuition fee) along with the pre-requisite documents and undertakings. The candidates will be provided with the dates to attend the classes after completing the formalities.
AIIMS Nursing 2021 Application Form
AIIMS Nursing 2021 registration is exepected to start from April. After the registration process, candidates whose registration request is accepted will be eligible for the Final Registration process (fee payment and choice of city). Notably, only candidates who have Generated Code for Final Registration were able to proceed for the fee payment and choose a choice of the city as their exam centre.
AIIMS Nursing 2021 (BSc) application form filling process is divided in two stages which uses the Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration (PAAR) system, newly introduced by AIIMS.
Both the stages are equally important and candidates should not miss out on any of the two stages. The two stages are:
- Stage 1: Basic Registration
- Stage 2: Final Registration
Stage 1: Basic Registration
The first stage is the Basic Registration stage in which the candidates are required to furnish their personal details such as name, date of birth, email id (for communication purpose), mobile number (to send information and code via SMS) and then the scanned passport-size photo and scanned image of the signature and thumb impression. After providing the details post the submission, the candidates will receive a registration ID and a password to conclude the Basic Registration process. Candidates are advised to keep the registration ID and password safe for future use.
Stage 2: Final Registration
After the successful submission and acceptance of the Basic Registration form, candidates will be able to generate a code and pay the application fee. Candidates won’t be able to proceed for the final registration process without generating the code. In the final registration stage, the candidates have to provide their academic details and submit the choice of the city as the exam centre.
AIIMS Nursing 2021 (BSc) application fee can be paid via online mode using Debit/Credit card or Net banking.

Stage 2: Personal Interview/Assessment scheme
Candidates who will be able to make it to the merit list based on the written exam will be called for the personal interview/assessment round. The second stage will have the weightage of 30 marks. Final merit list will decide the fate of the candidate based on their performance in both the stages. Almost three times more candidates will be invited for the interview than the actual number of available seats. The assessment process will count the following criteria:
- Past academic record in the Higher Secondary or class 12 or equivalent examination
- Past academic record in the Nursing examination
- Performance as a Staff Nurse
AIIMS Nursing 2021 (BSc) Result
The Final result for BSc (Post-Basic) Nursing is expected to nbe announced in July. All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, Examination section had announced the AIIMS Nursing 2021 result for BSc (Post-Basic) Nursing Stage-1 on June 20, 2021.
