The University provides scholarships to students based on their prior academic records during admission and also based on their semester-wise performance during the course of their studies. For the BTech programme at CUTM Paralakhemundi, candidates who have studied under different boards of education are offered a predefined percentage of scholarship in their tuition fee. Starting from the second year, students are required to obtain a minimum of 8.0 CGPA in their semester exams along with a minimum of 80% attendance to continue receiving their scholarship. Additionally, there are a number of scholarships available to students belonging to the reserved category and minority groups, as listed below:

For PhD, shortlisted candidates are awarded a fellowship of INR 20,000 for three years. NET/ICAR/GATE qualified candidates will receive a stipend according to UGC rules. In addition to their own research work, PhD candidates are expected to engage in teaching, training, and research projects of the University.

Furthermore, a special scholarship of 5% is offered to all CUEE applicants.

For MBA admissions, CUO used to administer its own entrance exam. For the general category, the minimal cutoff is approximately 58 percentile; for the OBC category, it is approximately 54 percentile; and for the SC/ST category, it is approximately 53 percentile. For admission to its postgraduate programmes, including the MBA, CUO has moved to the Central Universities Entrance Test (CUET), effective with the 2023–2024 academic year.

For the MBA programme at CUO, there are therefore no previous year's CUET cutoff scores available. Cutoff scores are influenced by a number of factors, including the volume of applications, the difficulty of the CUET exam, and the availability of seats.The cutoff scores for the 2023–24 MBA programme will be made public on the CUO official website following the announcement of the CUET results in May 2024.

You have a good chance of getting an MBA with 70% in OJEE. But it is not sure.
