No, you cannot get admission in Orissa University of Agriculture & Technology directly you have to give an entrance examwhich is conducted by the University called as the Orissa Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE). And also For PG courses students must give an exam of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). This exams is mainly based on 11 th and 12th standard NCERT syllabus and mental aptitude. Subjects like physics, chemistry, are compulsory. But you have can choose between maths and biology. But this entrance exam has very tricky questions you have study hard to get decent percentile for got admission in nice college.

This university established in 1962 and is the second the oldest university related to agriculture in India. It offers various courses for UG and PG and also PhD which have different criterias for admission.To get admission in this university, it conduct entrance exam which is known as OUAT entrance exam which contains 100 marks (short answer type questions), other than this OJEE, ICAR, AIEEA and CUET PG scores are also considered for getting admission in some PG courses like MBA, M.Tech.

There were a number of courses offered by the Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology, including B.Sc. It has various specialisation in B.Sc. Agriculture, B.Tech Agriculture, B.V.Sc., B.Sc. Horticulture, B.Sc. Fishery, MBA, MCA, M.E. etc. Among these courses, most are related to agriculture and related streams which are very important to the country today as both state and federal governments are paying keen attention to this sector. And the data also shows that the most demanded courses in this OUAT University are B.Sc. agriculture and B.V.Sc. (veterinary).

Yes, it is worth joining Orissa University of Agriculture & Technology for MBA as last year in 2022 out of 347 PG students, 110 got placed which is a good number to opt for this University. However data for year 2023 is not released yet but according to a NIRF report medium level of package was 4.80 LPA in 2020 which was average. An overall increase in 24 percent in the median package has been observed by the Orissa University of Agriculture & Technology.

Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology offered many courses and MBA is one of them. Eligibility criteria for getting admission in this course to Orissa University of Agriculture & Technology University is that one should have completed graduation with minimum 50% marks and on the basis of score in OJEE, ICAR and AIEEA. And now score of CUET PG is also considered.

The courses offered at Orissa University of agriculture and technology are B.Tech, B.Sc (agriculture), B.Sc (honours), and B.V.Sc, B.S.Sc, BA etc. for undergraduate courses and M.Tech, MBA, M.E., MCA and M.V.Sc for postgraduation.
Instead of these it also offers ANM course.
The fee structure for these courses vary accordingly with the time and courses.

The fees for various courses depends upon various levels.
Btech they charge 19 ,410 for first year which is relatively cheaper than the MSc course they provide (i.e 35,071 for 1st year. And for BSC agriculture and B.Sc Hons the fees is of 17,860 for 1st year.
B.v.sc it is Rs. 21,860 for 1st year.
M.Tech and M.V.Sc it is Rs.35,569 for 1st year.

It is not as difficult as JEE and NEET but OUAT is now trying to increase the difficulty level of its questions every year because of the increase in competition. For admission in various courses under the university. It also depends upon your speed as you have to complete a large number of questions in a smaller period of time. Questions are little tougher which needs rigorous practice and revesion before attempting the exam.

Orissa University of agriculture and technology is a state funded government institution which is dedicated towards agriculture related research, education and provides further extension to it. It was established in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India in 1962 and is the second oldest agricultural university in the country. It has 11 constituent colleges and a separate Directorate of Extension Education which refines technologies and disseminates knowledge to the farming community through a network of 31 KVKs in all districts of Odisha under different agro-climatic zones.
