Both the fields have a great scope.
But, I would like to advise you to go for microbiology because there are a lot of research and experiments going on various biological elements which are yet to be discovered. You can also go for research.

Absolutely yes, you could. It opens a wide array of scope for you now, you could continue study with your Ph.D, as your choice, plus you have an added advantage of being in oral path, long way to go, congratulations. Good luck.
