KCET is only for the Karnataka students and PESSAT is for all other students. Even Karnataka students can sit for PESSAT. The last date for applying for PESSAT was April 10, 2018.

It depends totally on the college that what criteria they set for the admissions. But if you have scored more then 50% you can get admission in any good colleges.

PES University (the one near Banshankri) does not take admission via COMEDK. The south campus of PES takes admission through COMEDK. You can contact the south campus colleges.

You can get admission in most of the top engineering colleges in Bangalore, but not PESU.
PESU conducts its separate exam (PESSAT).

The fee for management quota for the year 2017 mechanical was 6 lakhs per year and for 2016, it was 5 lakhs per year. The fee structure is expected to increase this year also.

The admission is based on 2 exams PESSAT and KCET. PESSAT is conducted by the college itself. The campus is good. Some part of the college campus, for now, is under construction. The placements are good, especially for the CS department. More than half of the students in CS got an offer of Rs. 12 LPA and above. For more info please visit the college website.
