As per student's opinoin we can compare the University of Stavanger and NTNU for petroleum engineering as such.
- NTNU is currently safer since it is more well known, but grades and your own performance will matter even more. UiS might be more present locally, which is nice.
- Research, might actually be UiS, since they want to grow and might specialise more. You have several unemployed tech people in Trondheim, and more abroad competition.
- NTNU, but like I say, that reputition might be diminishing nationally

For 2022, cut off was 12864 for General category candidates in All India quota for B.Tech. in Petroleum Engineering in IIT Dhanbad (ISM) - Indian Institute of Technology (ISM). For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 22202 was the closing rank. B.Tech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.
