As per student's opinoin we can compare the University of Stavanger and NTNU for petroleum engineering as such. 

  • NTNU is currently safer since it is more well known, but grades and your own performance will matter even more. UiS might be more present locally, which is nice.
  • Research, might actually be UiS, since they want to grow and might specialise more. You have several unemployed tech people in Trondheim, and more abroad competition.
  • NTNU, but like I say, that reputition might be diminishing nationally

Among the University of Aberdeen and the University of Portsmouth, Portsmouth is the perfect choice to study MS Petroleum Engineering in the UK for international students because of its low tuition fees. The University of Aberdeen fees for MS in Petroleum Engineering is INR 19.44 L for first-year, while the University of Portsmouth fees is 17.32 L for MS in Petroleum Engineering.

For 2022, cut off was 12864 for General category candidates in All India quota for B.Tech. in Petroleum Engineering in IIT Dhanbad (ISM) - Indian Institute of Technology (ISM). For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 22202 was the closing rank. B.Tech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.
