For a government seat in M.Pharmacy through TS PGCET, general and OBC candidates need to score at least 25 percent, which is around thirty marks out of one hundred twenty total marks, to qualify for admission. There is no minimum cutoff for SC/ST candidates, but qualifying marks are essential for counseling.
So, to secure a government seat, aim to meet the minimum qualifying score of thirty marks at least, though higher scores increase chances significantly in top colleges.

In case all the criterion leads to a tie, KEA considers a 'Draw of lots' method to allot a rank to the candidates. "Draw of lots" in Karnataka PGCET is a random method used to break a tie when all other tie-breaking criteria. KEA has three different methords to allocate a Karnataka rank to the candidates, which includes considering the PGCET scores, qualifying exam scores and the age of the candidate. In case PGCET scores are same, KEA considers qualifying exam scores, if the qualifying exam marks is also same, age of the candidate is considered for allotment of a rank for Karnataka PGCET merit list.
However, in cases where the age is also same of the candidates, KEA will use a draw of lots to assign Karnataka PGCET ranks. The draw is a random method to break the tie and finalise the merit list.

In cases where two or more candidates score the same marks in the Karnataka PGCET exam, KEA takes into account a tie-breaking method to assign ranks to the candidates. As per the Karnataka PGCET tie breaking criteria, the total aggregate marks obtained in the qualifying exam will be considered first. Candidate who has higher qualifying marks is given the higher rank in Karnataka PGCET merit list. If the qualifying exam marks are also the same, then the tie-breaking process moves to the candidate's age. Candidate who is older is considered first during the Karnataka PGCET merit rank allotment.

No, candidates cannot get a merit rank based only on qualifying exam marks. Karnataka Examinations Authority considers the Karnataka PGCET entrance test marks to prepare the merit list. The qualifying exam marks are critical for candidates to meet the eligibility conditions for admission through PGCET scores. Candidates will not get a Karnataka PGCET rank if they do not meet the qualifying score eligibility from their graduation level.
