Applicants must first complete the application. Applicants may apply for a PhD programme if they have earned a bachelor's, master's, or comparable degree in engineering, technology, or a master's or equivalent degree in science, arts, or commerce with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate for ST/SC/PwD category).

Students are shortlisted based on their GATE, CSIR NET, CEED, and UGC NET after completing the application process. After being shortlisted, the candidates are contacted again for a round of in-person interviews

GATE exam is the eligibility entrance exam for Ph.D at Government college of engineering amravati (GCOEA).  Their is no qualifying cutoff marks for Ph.D at Government college of engineering amravati.You must pass in post graduation and GATE exam with good percentage. This year, the Round 1 and the Last Round closing scores for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering were 97.37 and 97.82, respectively for the General Home State category students.

PhD at TAPMI Manipal requires submission of research work done during the stipulated course duration of four years. Before the end of the first twelve months i.e. at the start of the fourth year, the full-time scholar will be required to prepare a comprehensive research proposal and detailed plan. This research is to be done under the guidance of the allocated guide (s) and doctoral committee members (DAC). This research work would have to be presented to a specially constituted committee at the Manipal Academy of Higher Education. 

TAPMI Manipal offers a full-time doctoral level PhD programme The course duration for this programme is of four years. Under this programme, the institute offers fellowships to its PhD students. Through the fellowship scheme, Students are rewarded with a full waiver of tuition fees, a monthly stipend of INR 35,000 for the first two years, and INR 40,000 for the next two years.

PhD at TAPMI Manipal is a full-time doctoral program. The course duration for the aforementioned programme is of four years. Out of this duration, one year involves rigorous coursework. Doctoral-level courses about, Research Methodology, Research and Publication Ethics, Quantitative Methods of Research, Pedagogical Issues in Teaching, Research Proposal Writing, and area-specific courses are expected to be completed during the course work.

TAPMI Manipal PhD scholarships are awarded to qualified doctoral students for a maximum of four years. However, the scholarships are subject to students’ meeting all requirements and recommendations of the concerned committee. Students who are rewarded with fellowship are provided with a full waiver of tuition fees, a monthly stipend of INR 35,000 for the first two years, and INR 40,000 for the next two years.

Admissions at TAPMI Manipal are made purely based on merit. There are no reservations at TAPMI for any quota or category. However, the institute does provide need-based financial assistance and scholarships to support students in need. Moreover, there is no ‘Management Quota’ for admissions at TAPMI.
