Hi,
For PhD admissions, the students will have to apply at the official website of the institute they prefer. Some educational institutes also specify that candidates need to submit a research proposal along with their application form. The application form along with the research proposal is submitted at the Research Unit of the educational institute where scrutiny of the application is conducted. After scrutiny of the PhD course application form is complete then most of the educational institutes shortlist the names of the candidates who need to appear for the entrance exam and other admission rounds that are conducted for shortlistin

You can, but that completely depends on your research topic and institute. Some areas, like engineering, have a more defined path and resources, helping you finish in four years. Humanities can be more flexible and research-driven in other case, making it taking longer than usual.

The entrance exam required for Ph.D admission at MIT School of Education and Research MIT-ADT University is either UGC NET or PET. For General category candidates, the qualifying marks for UGC NET are 40% aggregate in both papers. For PWD/SC/ST/OBC and Transgender candidates, it's 35% aggregate in both papers. The PET qualifying cut off marks are found to be 60 - 65 for General category and around 58 for OBC category. If the candidate get more than 40% Marks in the PET Exam then he or she will be considered qualified in the entrance exam. The minimum passing marks are required for admission too.
