Pharmacists are the experts and health professionals who have done their studies in medicines. They can use their knowledge of medicines for the benefit of patients.
The pharmacy field can primarily be divided into three disciplines:

Pharmacy is one of the popular field among the students. Education in pharmacy varies from one country to another. In India, the academic courses in the field of pharmacy starts from diploma level to doctoral level.
Undergraduate Courses:
Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) 4 years
Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) Lateral Entry 3 years
Pharm (Hons.) 4 years
Bachelor of Pharmacy (Ayurveda) 4 years
Eligibility:
For B.Pharm Course It is the Bachelors degree in pharmacy that can be taken after passing 12th/intermediate examination. For this course, candidates must pass 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry as a compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics / Computer Science / Biotechnology / Biology subjects and must obtained 50% marks in qualifying examination. Minimum 17 years of age and maximum 23 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
Note: D.Pharm (Diploma of Pharmacy) holders are eligible for admission into B.Pharm (lateral entry).

D.Pharma: Eligibility
Listed below are the minimum criteria which candidates interested in pursuing the course are required to fulfil, in order to be eligible to apply for the course:
Successful qualification of the 10+2 level of education in any stream, from a recognized educational Board.
A minimum aggregate score of 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) at the 10+2 level.
D.Pharma: Admission Process
Most institutes offering the D.Pharmacy course admit students based on performance in a relevant entrance test, often followed by a round of personal interview, wherein their general aptitude for the course is tested. Admission process generally varies across colleges.
A few institutes also provide direct admission based on the candidates performance at the 10+2 level.

Bachelor of Pharmacy: Eligibility
Students applying for Bachelor of Pharmacy should have 50% in 10+2 with physics, chemistry and mathematics or physics, chemistry and biology.
Students having Diploma in Pharmacy can also opt for this course.
The entrance exams conducted for admission in Bachelor of Pharmacy are:
BITSAT: BITSAT is Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences Aptitude Test that is conducted for seeking admission in B. Pharmacy courses. It is generally conducted in the month of May.
WBJEE: WBJEE is West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination is also conducted in the month of May generally for admission to Bachelor of Pharmacy course.
TSEAMCET: TSEAMCET is another exam that also gives admission to B. Pharmacy and is conducted in the month of May.
