The moon or the space has no air. Since sound waves require a material medium to propagate. Therefore, they use radio waves which are electromagnetic waves. These waves do not require any material medium for propagation and hence can be picked by the radio receiver.

MSc Physics scope has equal demands in the industry, Research, and academic fields. Due to this reason, the future scope for this course is huge. In the past few years, the demand for physicists has increased so much that the salary trend for physics graduates looks very optimistic.
Check the options available for higher studies after MSc Physics below:
- M.Phil in Physics: M.Phil. in Physics is a pre-doctorate course that teaches and prepares students to work in the research industry for broader academic application.
- PhD in Physics: A PhD in Physics includes 5 or 6 core courses, with research and dissertation on the core areas of physics

In physics, a standing wave also known as a stationary wave is a wave in a medium in which each point on the axis of the wave has an associated constant amplitude. The locations at which the amplitude is minimum are called nodes, and the locations where the amplitude is maximum are called antinodes.

The SI unit of frequency is the hertz (Hz), named after the German physicist Heinrich Hertz. One hertz means that an event repeats once per second. A previous name for this unit was cycles per second (cps). The SI unit for period is the second.
All the best.
